Shame on you too, Berkeley
The Berkeley City Council jumped the gun and got all angry-hippy at the Marine Corp recruiting center that opened up in Downtown Berkeley. They had voted to put a letter together for the U.S. Marine Corp to tell them they were an ‘unwelcomed intruder’.

Since when in the fuck do we get mad at the troops, and the people that have to do the recruiting and tell them to fuck off? Don’t kill the messenger you protest-panty-wearing mooks. We’re against the war remember? Not the people fighting it for us.
Berkeley City Council, you are an embarrassment. My favorite bit from the article:
“To err is human but to really screw up it takes the Berkeley City Council,” said council member Gordon Wozniak. “We failed our city. We embarrassed our city.”
They did realize the error of their ways this morning and voted to not send the letter. But where’s the formal apology? Yeah, in their pipe, smokin’ it.
